WAS VERY DEPRESSING 🖕 THIS TIME COMPARED WITH LAST CONCERT 2007🤔🤔


Very depressing to see the low attendance of BURNING SPEAR’s Concert today in NAIROBI, the Reggae capital of AFRICA… (Makosaaaaaa)
Unlike the highly successful BURNING SPEAR Concert in 2007 at the KASARANI stadium where close to 100,000 people thronged the venue, Uhuru Park was conspicuously empty today during the ONE PEOPLE AFRICA TOUR concert despite the event being highly anticipated following months of hype and publicity. (Jameni msilete politrics kwa Reggae)
The tour has been marred by cancellations and date changes from 12th October to 2nd November plus several venue changes with Spear citing a “logistical issue with the local promoter” which led him to get a new team to run tings on the ground. (Kiherehere ni mbaya sana)
The venue had previously been moved from Uhuru Park to Uhuru Gardens then later to KICC and eventually back to Uhuru Park.
My personal perception is that we need to step up our game, improve our work ethic, stop the squabbling, infighting, name calling, red eye and envy…. (Tuwache chuki na wivu kwa Reggae)
Healthy competition between individuals, Dj units or sound systems is welcome as long as it is aimed at improving the growth of the industry…
