Ruto was enumerating some of his government's projects to Uhuru Kenyatta when the jeers started.

The residents listening to him disapproved of his praise of the affordable housing programme and the new health scheme.

At the same time, Ruto acknowledged getting criticism from the Catholic bishops, promising to make amends where necessary.
